Tour Guide at Clark University
Class of 2021
Hometown: Baltimore, MD
Secondary Major: Community, Youth, Education Studies
I met a lot of my closest friends at Clark in the study rooms on the fourth floor of the library, so they have a special place in my heart. We've spent countless late nights there, sharing coffees, dancing to rap music, napping on the couch, editing each others' papers, cramming for Chemistry tests, and simply catching up and discussing pretty much everything under the sun.
Complexities of Urban Schooling with Professor Ameer is one of the most amazing courses I've ever taken. The class is built on discussions, and all of the content has a clear connection to the "real world" of education--you frequently discuss your own schooling experience and what you're seeing in the observation component of the course. Taking the class made me excited to work in the education system someday!
Most of my life is centered around Clark classes, activities, and people, but I'm currently working on an application to study abroad in South Africa/Namibia in Fall of 2018 and I also just started a book.
I'm unapologetically passionate. I could talk for hours on end about everything I'm studying, reading, writing, watching; all of the clubs and activities in which I'm participating, all of the people I love. Clark students are all pretty unique, but I think everyone here has something that really really makes them tick--and they're not afraid to show it.
